In 2014, I visited Cambugahay Falls during my unforgettable trip to Siquijor. Even back then, the place was pure magic—a hidden cascade tucked deep in the forest, surrounded by lush greens and turquoise water that begged you to jump in. What makes Cambugahay so special isn’t just its beauty, but the feeling of discovering something both wild and welcoming.
Cambugahay Falls
Back then, there were fewer tourists, and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We scrambled down over 100 stone steps and were greeted by a three-tiered waterfall, with natural pools perfect for swimming and swinging.
The swing ropes were makeshift at the time, but the fun? Timeless. I remember laughing as we flew through the air and plunged into the cool, clear water. It’s one of those places that lives rent-free in your memory.
