Dome glamping Philippines Domescape glamping Glamping Batangas Dome glamping near me Glamping domes for sale Glamping near Manila Domescape glamping blog Glamping Laguna

Let's bring your glamorous camping experience to the next level!

Glamping nowadays is becoming a trend for more relaxed and stress-free camping. Imagine, you don't need to bring you own tent and set it up, then you just lay down on a nice soft bed with fluffy pillows and comforter in it. Plus, you don't worry about the humid atmosphere 'cause you will be comforted by the AC.

What is Glamping

Glamping is a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping", and describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not usually associated with "traditional" camping.

What is Dome Glamping

I tried to research on this but nothing specifies the true meaning of dome glamping. However, some sites say that, "Glamping Domes gives you an experience of unusual camping sustainably & comfortably, with ecological domes."

But dome glamping is now taking one-step ahead of the usual glamping. Aside from the luxury of camping at your comfort, dome glamping gives you a different view of the outside. Most of these sites are located in a rural area, covered by trees or facing the sea.

What is Geodesic Dome

Most of them use "geodesic domes" which is a hemispherical thin-shell structure based on a geodesic polyhedron. The triangular elements of the dome are structurally rigid and distribute the structural stress throughout the structure, making geodesic domes able to withstand very heavy loads for their size.

Besides staycation where most you can do in the cities and metros, glamping is somewhat an escape from the hectic city life. Who doesn't like to relax and just enjoy the moments with your partner or friends?

So in this list, I show you the best dome glamping in the Philippines:

  1. Domescape, Batangas
  2. Glamping Etc., Laguna
  3. Nacpan Beach Glamping, Palawan
  4. Taglucop Strawberry Hills, Bukidnon
  5. Bintana Sa Paraiso, Camiguin

Domescape

Domescape, is the first-ever geodesic dome glamping site in the Philippines. It was established in March 2019 and opened its doors by next month. The expansive site in Nasugbu, Batangas sits on a 1.5-hectare private property surrounded by lush foliage.

Originally the owners’ retreat house where they host friends’ get-togethers and family reunions, Domescape is sharing their space in summer in Airbnb for travelers seeking a unique glamping experience.

Glamping Etc. Philippines

For larger groups looking for a similar set-up, Glamping Etc., which opened in May 2019, offers three domes, one triangular tent and an attic that can accommodate up to 12 pax. The glamping area is located by the shores of Lumot Lake, a man-made lake connected to Caliraya Lake in Laguna, roughly three hours from the metro. The area, is popular for water sports and sport fishing.

Guests can enjoy refreshing views overlooking the lake from inside the tent, sleep on luxury mattresses, have soft linens, towels, toiletries, their own CR, and enjoy free breakfast, free use of kayaks, floaters, fishing rods, body boards and vests.

Nacpan Beach Glamping

The setting couldn’t be more perfect, with nine huge glamping tents nestled amidst hundreds of palm trees and shrubs and the beach just a stone’s throw away. There are at least 300 palm trees and 3,000 shrubs planted on the one-hectare property, giving guests a tropical feel and ultimate privacy. Completing the postcard setting is the beach itself, just a stone’s throw away from the tents.

The fact that you’re staying in a tent doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style or size. These are more like traditional Mongolian yurts, but much bigger (as big as a standard double room in most hotels), and fitted with high end interiors including air-conditioning and two five-star quality queen size beds.
