Hydro-theraphy Massages

Soft Massage

Ace Water Spa has more than 10 massage systems that provide soft, moderate, or hard massage. Each massage facility can be operated by push buttons.

Every massage area is properly labelled where the name of the massage, classification (e. g. soft), part of the body that will be targeted, how you will position yourself, and health benefits are all indicated.

Hard Massage

Just push the massage button and you will feel the aquatic jets working on specific areas of your body to relax and comfort your aching muscles.

The massage automatically stops after a certain period of time, usually two to three minutes as indicated in the label. You can repeat a particular massage as long as you like and as long as your body can take it.

Aside from the spa area with different massage facilities, I really like the hot herbal pools of Ace Water Spa.  Their herbal pools have different temperature and scent including mint pool (36 degrees Celsius), jasmine pool (38 degrees Celsius), and lavender pool (40 degrees Celsius).

Hot Herbal Pools

Hot herbal pools have a bonus back massage facility – just push the corresponding button as in the spa area. While we plunged ourselves in the hot waters with our head resting in a cold pillow (long metal bar), the addition of back massage (1-2 minutes) was really fantastic.

Steam and Sauna

Steam and sauna, lapping, and cold pool are also provided at Ace Water Spa. The cold pool is overly cold and is intended to be used to cool yourself down after soaking in the hot herbal pool. Lapping pool is about 25 meters and is 4.3 feet deep.

Fitted swimwear (preferably spandex material) should be worn inside Ace Water Spa to get the maximum health benefit derived from the spa.

Tips to enjoy Ace Water Spa

  • Board shorts are not allowed, so be ready to use your skimpy swimsuits for both adults and kids.
  • Bring your own towels. You can bring them all the way to the pool area where they have a towel rack.
  • The kids would love the lazy river that goes around the water spa area and the water slides. Note: Kids under 12 years old are not allowed in the Hot & Cold spa area.
  • Cameras are strictly not allowed inside the spa area. You can only take pictures outside.
  • Four (4) hours is more than enough to enjoy the spa. Go on a weekday during the non-peak hours.

How to Read Maynila Water Bill / Statement of Account SOA

Know more about the different components of your monthly water bill.


1. Service Information
This section shows your contact information, including the Contract Account Number (CAN) or the unique eight-digit identifier designated to your account to distinguish it from all other accounts. This information must be kept confidential.

3. Bill & Payment History
This shows your recent payment history.

2. Metering Information
This section provides basic details about your water meter, and specifies the meter’s reading of your current consumption, which is the basis for all billing charges. Your account’s consumption in the previous three months is also shown here.

4. Billing Summary
The breakdown of all charges can be found in this section.

5. Reminder
This section contains payment and/or service reminders for customers.



Maynilad Bill Summary


Basic Charge covers the cost of operating, maintaining, improving and expanding the distribution network, as well as the facilities that bring potable water to customers. It is based on the latest approved tariff schedule.

Transitory Adjustment is an item included in the water bill from November 18, 2021 to December 31, 2022 to prevent a tariff increase following the removal of the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA)—which is a refund of 0.55% for the fourth quarter of 2021—in compliance with the Revised Concession Agreement provisions that there will be no tariff adjustment due to FCDA, and there will be no increase in the Standard Rates for water and sewerage services until December 31, 2022. This item will remain visible up to the January 2023 water bill of customers to cover for their December 2022 consumption.

Environmental Charge is 20% of the Water Charge (Basic Charge plus Transitory Adjustment) applicable to all customers.

Sewerage Charge is 20% of Basic Charge for Commercial and Industrial customers connected to a sewer line. This charge is not levied on Residential and Semi-Business customers, or on Commercial and Industrial customers who are not connected to the sewer line.

Maintenance Service Charge (MSC) covers the maintenance of the water meter and is based on the size of the installed meter.



Total Current Charges before Taxes is the sum of Basic Charge, Transitory Adjustment, Environmental Charge, and MSC.

Government Taxes consist of the 2% National Franchise Tax, and the Local Franchise Tax implemented by the respective local government units where the Business Area offices of Maynilad are located. This will be remitted to the national and local government (BIR for the National Franchise Tax and LGU for the Local Franchise Tax).

Previous Unpaid Amount pertains to charges billed prior to the billing period, and should be settled immediately together with the current charges to avoid disconnection of the water service.

Total Amount Due is the Total Current Charges plus any Previous Unpaid Amount.

Payment Due Date is the deadline for paying the Total Amount Due.

Maynilad Tariffs and Rates

To ensure that Maynilad has the ability to sustain its operations and expand its services, it charges a water tariff that will allow it to gradually recover its investments, including its government-regulated profits.

The tariff follows a socialized structure so that those who consume less water are charged lower rates. Those who consume more water are charged higher rates.

Water consumers are also classified depending on the presence and nature of the economic activity in their house or establishment. Their classification determines what type of water rates will be applied to them, i.e., Residential, Semi-Business, Commercial, and Industrial.

Residential customers who consume 10 cu.m. or less per month are given a 20% discount by Maynilad. Commercial, industrial, and high-consuming customers are billed higher rates.

Rate Rebasing is the process of adjusting water rates every five years. The adjustment is based on the performance, expenses, earnings, unrecovered investments, and service improvement plans of the water concessionaires.

Rate rebasing enables the gradual increase of water rates despite the massive, accelerated investments of the water concessionaires. This is because the process is based on a cash flow analysis or the examination of money inflows and outflows.

Through cash analysis, the government ensures that the water concessionaires are not over-accumulating profits and losses. It also guarantees that full recovery of the concessionaires’ expenses and profits will only be possible when the concession agreement ends in year 2037.

When I was a kid, never I have missed to notice this iconic tower whenever we pass Sucat intersection. Until now, it has been a mystery unsolved in my head what happened to this resort and how it looks like in his hay days.

The Origin of Water Fun

The story of Water Fun in Sucat is intertwined with the rise of Water Fun as a beloved water park brand in the Philippines during the 1990s.

The first Water Fun emerged in Sta. Mesa, Manila, captivating the hearts of locals with its promise of aquatic adventures and cool respite from the tropical heat.

The resort even had an advertisement in Taguig that shows a portion of a slide.



The success of the original Water Fun led to the creation of two more branches, one in Fairview and the other in Sucat, Parañaque. Water Fun Drive, as it was known in Sucat, boasted expansive swimming pools, thrilling slides, and even animal-themed displays, making it a go-to destination for families seeking summer fun.


A Splash of Controversy

While Water Fun in Sucat garnered a dedicated following and provided countless hours of enjoyment, it was not without its share of challenges.

One of the issues that marred its reputation was the construction of the slides, which, unfortunately, led to numerous accidents. These incidents raised concerns about safety and prompted calls for improvements.



Moreover, the water park's presence in the area disrupted water supplies in nearby residential areas. This further fueled discontent among the local community, eventually leading to petitions for the park's closure.

In the early 2000s, Water Fun in Sucat met its final chapter as the park faced financial troubles and ultimately filed for bankruptcy. It was a bittersweet farewell to a place that had once been a source of joy for so many.
