Mainit Sulfuric Hot Spring is found in Maco, Compostela Valley.

The Municipality of Maco in the Province of Compostela Valley is one of the eco-adventure tourism destinations in Davao Region. One of the must visit tourist spots is the natural steaming waterfall of Barangay Mainit. Being situated in one of Philippines' 22 active volcanoes, Mt Leonar Kniazeff, the water from the sulfuric hotspring is both relaxing and therapeutic.

HOW TO GET THERE

  • From Tagum City Overland Bus Terminal take a bus bound to Nabunturan and tell the conductor to drop off at Mawab terminal. The travel time is about 30-45 minutes.
  • From there you can hire a habal-habal to take you to Mainit Hot Spring for P200 per way. The travel time is roughly 1 to 1.5 hours.
