The company shared this update on its official social media channels, advising passengers to check the revised timings for their trips. This change aims to better serve the growing number of commuters using the ferry service.

In exciting news for budget-conscious travelers, 1Bataan Integrated Transport System Inc. is also offering a special promotional price. Passengers can now book their ferry trips for only ₱249 per person, per way, when they book online.


This limited-time offer makes traveling between the two points even more affordable and convenient.




"We hope for your continued support and patronage of our ferry service," a representative from 1Bataan Integrated Transport System Inc. stated. "Together, we can experience fast, safe, and comfortable travel between Manila and Bataan."



The ferry service connects the Manila Ferry Terminal located at CCP Complex, Pedro Bukaneg St., Pasay City, to the Bataan Ferry Terminal at Capinpin Seaport, Puting Buhangin, Orion, Bataan.

From Manila, Bagac, Bataan is a 3-hour drive via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and exit at San Fernando, Pampanga. Take the westbound side of Jose Abad Santos Avenue (Gapan-Olongapo Road), heading towards Bacolor, Guagua, and Lubao in Pampanga.

Upon reaching Dinalupihan, turn left at Roman Superhighway. Once in Balanga City, turn right at Gov. J.J. Linao National Road. Drive along the scenic route at the foot of Mt. Samat until you reach the town of Bagac. Follow the road markers that point to Las Casas.


Via Land Travel (Public Commuting)

From Pasay Rotonda along EDSA (below MRT station) – approx. PHP300+/pax
  • Take the Genesis Bus to Balanga Bus Station (trip starts at 4:00AM; bus arrives every 30 minutes)
  • From the bus station, take the jeepney going to Bagac or Morong (Bagac-bound has a limited time while Morong-bound has a longer time)
  • Upon reaching Bagac, get down at the Filipino-Japanese Friendship Tower and go to the tricycle station
  • Take tricycle going to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar (Gate 5 entrance)

Say 'goodbye' to long travel from South to North!

Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge being built on Manila Bay, Philippines, to reduce the travel time from Bataan to Cavite from five hours to 40 minutes.

The project is being developed by the Republic of the Philippines’ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) with an estimated investment of $3.6bn. It is a priority project under the government’s Build, Build, Build (BBB) programme that aims to boost the country’s economic growth through increased investments in public infrastructure.

The National Economic Development Authority Board approved the project in January 2020. Bridge construction began in November 2020 and is expected to be completed in January 2022.

The bridge will permanently connect the provinces in Central Luzon and Southern Tagalog region, reducing the travel time and alleviating traffic congestion in Metro Manila.4



Bataan-Cavite bridge design and construction

The design of the bridge has been drawn from the sea, surrounding mountains, and Manila’s skyline. The 32.15km-long Bataan-Cavite bridge is being constructed with two lanes in each direction, connecting Bataan and Cavite provinces, located northwest and southwest of the capital Manila.


“The project will involve the construction of two cable-stayed navigation bridges, the North Channel Bridge with a main span of 400m and the South Channel Bridge with a 900m main span.”

The bridge will start at Barangay Alas-asin in Mariveles, Bataan, crossing Manila Bay, and terminating at Barangay Timalan in Naic, Cavite.

The project will involve the construction of two cable-stayed navigation bridges, the North Channel Bridge with a main span of 400m and the South Channel Bridge with a 900m main span, standing at a water depth of approximately 50m. Land viaducts, marine viaducts, and ancillary buildings will also be constructed under the project.

The four-lane cable-stayed bridge will stretch 17km between Cavite and Corregidor and 4km between Bataan and Corregidor and will be the longest bridge in the Philippines.

After reaching Corregidor, the bridge will transition into a tunnel and leave the surface of the historic island, allowing the development of a stopover from the high-speed train for easy access.


Project benefits

The new signature bridge will provide a significant transportation corridor for the Philippines and drive new economic growth for the country. It will ease traffic on the North Luzon Expressway.

The project will help to transform the regional economies of Cavite, Bataan and provinces located further north of Bataan through improved connectivity, new economic opportunities and jobs.

The bridge will also provide opportunities for new expansion and economic growth outside Manila such as the development of seaports in Cavite and Bataan as major international shipping gateways to the Philippines.


Financing for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge

Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a $200m loan as additional financing for the Infrastructure Preparation and Innovation Facility for the project in December 2019. It is also preparing to support the financing for the construction of the project in 2022.

Contractors involved in the project

A joint venture of the US-based T.Y. Lin International and the Republic of Korea’s Pyunghwa Engineering Consultants, along with the Philippines’ DCCD Engineering Corporation and Switzerland-based Renardet received the contract for the project.

DPWH signed a $59m deal with the contractors for the detailed engineering design (DED) of the bridge project in October 2020.

BATAAN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

The government is set to conduct a study to determine and develop the national position for a nuclear power program in the country, including the possible use of the mothballed Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

In Executive Order No. 116, President Duterte formed an inter-agency committee to evaluate and assess the need of viability of introducing nuclear power in the country's power generation mix.

The Nuclear Energy Program Inter-Agency Committee, to be chaired by the Department of Energy, must take into consideration the economic, security, and environmental implications, as well as engagement of the public and the relevant stakeholders, according to the President.

Duterte issued the directive through EO No. 117 that he signed on July 24 but was only made public on Thursday.


Under this EO, all liabilities for real property tax (RPT), including any special levies accruing to the Special Education Fund, for calendar year (CY) 2019, on property, machinery and equipment actually and directly used by IPPs for the production of electricity under a Build-Operate-Transfer scheme and similar, whether denominated Power Purchase Agreements, Energy Conversion Agreements or other contractual agreements, with GOCCs, assessed by local government units (LGUs) and other entities authorized to impose real property tax for all years up to CY 2019, are reduced to an amount equivalent to the tax due if computed based on an assessment level of 15 percent of the fair market value of the property, machinery, and equipment depreciated at the rate of two percent per annum, and less any amount already paid by IPPs.
