Motorists can now traverse this route in just under three minutes, providing a substantial reduction in travel time between the two cities. The partial opening of this expressway on Tuesday, July 23, marks a significant milestone in improving transportation efficiency in the area.

The entire C5 South Link project, spanning 7.7 kilometers and costing P11 billion, aims to seamlessly connect C5 Road to the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEx). The recently opened flyover alone accounts for P1.6 billion of this investment.

Once completed, the C5 South Link will create a smooth connection between C5 and CAVITEx via Merville and Sucat, benefiting commuters and motorists alike. With a target completion date set for the last quarter of 2021, the project is expected to serve approximately 50,000 vehicles, enhancing accessibility for residents and travelers in key areas of Metro Manila, including Makati, Taguig, Las Piñas, Pasay, and Parañaque, as well as those utilizing EDSA, Sales, and East and West Service Roads.
