Batanes, remains COVID-19-free

Only one province in the Philippines remains COVID-19-free.

According to the Department of Health (DOH) data processed by ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group, it appears that only the entire province of Batanes remains without a COVID-19 case.

Of the provinces where no coronavirus was previously recorded, Masbate has the most active cases today followed by Sarangani.

Thirteen provinces also seem to have increased the number of active cases in just two weeks.

In Luzon, it is Abra, Benguet which is mostly from Baguio City, Kalinga, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Quezon province.

In the Visayas it is Samar and Leyte. And in Mindanao, Sarangani and South Cotabato.

PH COVID-19 IN NUMBERS

According to the latest DOH report on Wednesday, COVID-19 cases in the country hit 115,980 after 3,462 patients tested positive.

The number of recoveries increased by 222 so that 66,270 were cured of the disease.

As many as 2,123 people died from the disease after 9 patients died.
