Quiet Time at Manila-American Cemetery and Memorial

This is one of my favorite things to do in Taguig - having a quiet and peaceful time here at the Manila-American Cemetery and Memorial. Here, you only hear birds chirping and leaves falling from the trees as the wind blows.

The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines occupies 152 acres on a prominent plateau, visible at a distance from the east, south and west. It contains the largest number of graves of our military dead of World War II, a total of 17,201, most of whom lost their lives in operations in New Guinea and the Philippines.

Of course, we don't forget about your fitness. TaguigeƱos enjoy to run and exercise in the city. There are two parks here that has a jogging path, yoga & exercise lawn, fitness art & a meditation garden: Track 30th and Terra 28th

Mercado del Lago is the first ever floating restaurant in Metro Manila. People flocks here for food, drinks and entertainment as they have weekly performers on-stage. Others just come here for the view with Laguna Lake on the background. It's very accessible and securely maintained. Read my personal experience here.

Open only at night until 6am, Mercato Centrale has been a place for people who are up at night and looking for good food with so much variety of choices. It became a "market" of both usual and unusual eats. I've been here not only once or twice, but many times. Read my food review here.

Belen Flores, founded Tipas Bakery located in Ibayo-Tipas, Taguig  City. She wanted to prove that Filipinos can create a hopia at par with those produced by the Chinese.

In 1988, Inang Belen produced its first hopia product – Hopia Mongo. The inspiration to sell hopia came from her customers.

Party at The Fort Strip

Taguig specifically, BGC is packed with clubs and bars. But most of them (even the pioneer ones) are found here at the Fort Strip. International and local DJs congregate to mix pop and electronic music here.

Perhaps the finest place in Manila, BGC (also known as The Fort) is a district in Taguig City with everything upscale. Skyscrapers, endless opportunities, and all shiny things are here.

The Uptown Cinemas at Uptown Mall are Manila's latest movie-watching upgrade. Its VIP Cinema houses 83 reclining leather loveseats, so you can cuddle up on your next movie night. Each seat comes with leg rests, a lamp so you can keep your eye on your belongings, and trays for your snacks.

It has two state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos Cinemas that feature strategically placed surround-sound speakers around the theater. Imagine watching that highly anticipated action flick and hearing explosions from overhead, behind, and in front of you as though you're right in the film.

Speaking of dining, there's a lot of restaurants, fastfood and cafe's in the whole building. Imagine, SM Premier is a 5-storey building with a basement and a garden on its roofdeck. On top of that, there's another roofdeck where Samsung Hall and its in-house church is located at.
