ABOUT ECO SADDLE

A beautiful hideaway called The Eco Saddle in Lake Caliraya, Laguna has a fully-furnished floating cottage that can bring you around the lake.

WHAT TO PACK FOR ECO SADDLE

Here are some things you might consider bringing with you for your day tour / adventure:


FLOATING COTTAGE

ECO SADDLE RATES

  • Entrance Fee: Php40.00
  • Cottages (optional): Php2,500-3,800 (up to 20 people)
  • Floating House (can take you to center of the lake)
  • ATV Rental: Php600 per 15 mins.
  • Boat Rental (travel around the lake): 1500 per hour (up to 12 pax)
  • Jetski: 4,500 per hour
  • Kayak: 300 per hour
  • Overnight: FREE if you have your own tent or took a cottage. (Tents available for rent as well)




HOW TO GET TO ECO SADDLE

There are THREE WAYS on how you can go to Eco Saddle Resort:

Bring your own Private Vehicle

You can search ECO SADDLE on Waze, which will accurately lead you to the right way (3-4 hours drive)
  • From Manila, you can travel via SLEX and exit on Calamba.
  • Follow the Philippine Highway and take a right turn upon reaching National Highway.
  • Travel East passing Los Banos, Sta. Cruz, then Pagsanjan.
  • Upon reaching Pagsanjan proper, turn left at Pagsanjan Church and travel north for 600m.
  • There you’ll reach a split, take the right path going uphill (Lumban-Caliraya-Cavinti Road).
  • Just follow the path until you reach Caliraya lake.
  • You wont miss it! Eco Saddle is located just past the Japanese Gardens.
  • It has a small sign pointing you to turn left. 

Go Commuting via Public Transportation

  • From Buendia/ Cubao, ride a bus bound to Sta Cruz Laguna
  • Drop off Sta Cruz, Laguna :160PHP
  • From there, ride a jeep to Lumot, Caliraya
  • Drop off at Mt. Carmel / Eco Saddle: 30PHP

There is also a towel included with the package as well as snacks consisting of healthy and cleansing lemongrass tea as well as Antipolo’s famed suman. You can enjoy your snacks amidst a gorgeous backdrop of the scenic view that Antipolo has to offer while taking in the cool and natural breeze that runs through.


The facilities of Hanging Gardens include a locker where you can store your valuables and other personal items. If you need to sweat out some of the bad toxins before enjoying your massage, there is an in-house sauna that you can use.

Another recommended facility they Hanging Gardens has is the Hydro-massage pool. It provides a unique and soothing treatment that isn’t typically found in spas.

HOW TO GET TO LULJETTA'S HANGING GARDENS SPA

Here are your options and directions on how you can go to Luljetta's Hanging Gardens:

Via Private Vehicle


FROM ORTIGAS CENTER, PASIG CITY:
From Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City, go straight to Ortigas Extension leading to Rizal Province. 
  • Pass through the Rotunda in Tikling area in Taytay, Rizal before going up to Antipolo.
  • In Antipolo, you will reach Hamaka (Triangle) Park, turn right here.
  • Ynares Sports Center and Rizal Provincial Capitol should be on your left.
  • Straight ahead. A few meters away is McDonalds.
  • Turn right at Unciano Medical Center.
  • Follow the signs that will lead you to Loreland Farm Resort.

For those who are bringing own vehicle, you may use Waze or Google Maps for directions. If you don’t have a private vehicle, you can rent a car or van here.

FROM QUEZON CITY:
If you’re coming from Quezon City, take the route from C.P. Garcia Avenue (formerly Katipunan Ave.) going to Aurora Boulevard. Follow the road going to Marcos Highway. Don’t go to the flyover.
  • Route 1: In Marcos Highway, slow down before reaching Sta. Lucia Mall.
    • At the intersection, turn right to V.V. Soliven Center (Felix formerly Imelda Ave.) Straight ahead.
    • This is a long road passing by SM Hypermart, private villages in Cainta, etc.
    • At the intersection (Cainta Junction), turn left to Ortigas Extension.
    • Go straight to Ortigas Extension. Pass through the Rotunda in Tikling area in Taytay, Rizal before going up to Antipolo.
    • In Antipolo, you will reach Hamaka (Triangle) Park, turn right here.
    • Rizal Provincial Capitol and Ynares Sports Center should be on your left. Straight ahead.
    • A few meters away is McDonalds. Turn right at Unciano Medical Center. Follow the signs that will lead you to Loreland Farm Resort.

  • Route 2: Head for Sumulong Highway.
    • That’s when you see Masinag Market to your left, you will have to make a right turn to Sumulong Highway.
    • You will pass by Valley Golf Country Club and the many establishments in the overlooking area of Antipolo.
    • Follow the highway until you reach the intersection of Taktad Road. Turn right.
    • Go straight then turn left at Aquino Blvd.
    • Go straight and when you see the first triangle park (Aquino Park), turn right. Go straight.
    • Turn left at Hamaka (Triangle) Park which is near Ynares Sports Center.
    • Follow the road leading to Unciano Medical Center.
    • McDonalds should be on your left. From there, turn right. There are signs giving directions to Loreland Farm Resort. Follow the signs.

FROM SOUTH SUPERHIGHWAY:
  • Route 1: Take Bicutan Exit going to C6.
    • You will go through a long stretch of road connecting South of Manila to its Eastern side (Rizal Province).
    • When you get to Taytay, Rizal town proper, turn left going to Antipolo City.
    • Make sure you took the correct turn otherwise it will lead you to other towns in Rizal Province (Angono, Binangonan).
    • At the end of the road you will notice the Rotunda in Tikling area in Taytay, Rizal before turning right going up to Antipolo.
    • In Antipolo, you will reach Hamaka (Triangle) Park, turn right here.
    • Rizal Provincial Capitol and Ynares Sports Center should be on your left.
    • Straight ahead. A few meters away is McDonalds.
    • Turn right at Unciano Medical Center. Follow the signs that will lead you to Loreland Farm Resort.

  • Route 2: Take C5 Exit.
    • From there turn right going to Ortigas Extension (if you go to the flyover, it will take you to Eastwood). 
    • At the end of Ortigas Extension is a Rotunda before going up to Antipolo.
    • In Antipolo, you will reach Hamaka (Triangle) Park, turn right here.
    • Rizal Provincial Capitol and Ynares Sports Center should be on your left. Straight ahead.
    • A few meters away is McDonalds. Turn right at Unciano Medical Center.
    • Follow the signs that will lead you to Loreland Farm Resort.

Via Public Commuting

Antipolo City bound terminals are strategically located at the following areas:
  1. Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City
  2. Robinson's Galleria, Ortigas Center, Pasig City
  3. SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City
  4. EDSA Central, Mandaluyong City
  5. Ayala Center, Makati City

The nearest drop off point when riding the LRT is the Santolan Station in Marikina City. Antipolo bound public utility vehicles (FX and Jeep) going to Antipolo Cathedral are available here. Loreland Farm Resort is just a short tricycle ride from the city proper of Antipolo City. Fare is Php 80.00.

Kuuma Kaakao is so underrated, yet they have one of my favorites - cocoa! When me and my family went on a week-long stay in Tagaytay City, we looked for places to visit and food to try.

Searching on social media, we found this small cafe that serves champorado (my favorite!), hot choco drink, puto bumbong and more. We were intrigued and decided to pay a visit during our stay in Tagaytay.




KUUMA KAAKAO MENU

This is Kuuma Kaakao's updated menu as of writing:

Their menu is best for Tagaytay weather. I can imagine taste the goodness of their champorado (chocolate porridge) served with fried dilis (anchovies).

They also serve Filipino rice cakes: puto bumbong and bibingka, both are equally delicious as well, best paired with a hot cocoa drink.



HOW TO GET TO KUUMA KAAKAO

Kuuma Kaakao was located near Rolando's when we first visited there. But sometime in 2018 they decided to relocate to much more accessible and bigger place in Hillcrest Plaza.

So if you have read my TAGATAY CITY GUIDE, getting to Kuuma Kaakao is easy peasy since it is located near the Tagaytay Rotonda where Fora Mall and Olivares are also located at. That means, buses, jeepneys and tricycles are passing thru this way.
