Patar Beach is a 500-meter beach situated on the North Western part of Lingayen Gulf in Pangasinan. While various resorts line the shore, its southernmost portions also serve as a public beach.

Thanks to its location that faces the West Philippine Sea, Patar Beach offers the best view of the sunset in the area. The beach is also categorized by powerful waves and beautiful rock formations that you can find along the southern coast.

The locals consider Patar White Sand Beach a natural treasure of the North, especially for nature seekers and beach lovers. The beach is an ideal holiday destination for tourists looking for a serene place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Tourist Spots to Visit Near Patar Beach

After you enjoy swimming on Patar Beach, you can also visit Cape Bolinao Lighthouse atop Punta Piedra Point one of the must-see attractions in Bolinao. The lighthouse was constructed in the early part of the 20th Century under American rule and is supposed to be the second tallest in the Philippines after Cape Bojeador Lighthouse in Ilocos Norte. It is just located at the very top of a small hill left side of the main road before heading to Patar White Beach.

Other places to visit in near Patar Beach are Enchanted Cave, Cindy’s Cave and Wonderful Cave. These are underground Pools where swimming inside the cave is allowed.

Patar Beach is FREE ENTRANCE since it is a public beach. However, you will need to pay for parking space even if you rented a tricycle tour.

Nipa huts (cottages) are lined up for rent (rental rates range from Php 300 - 1000). Convenience stores and public toilet and baths are located at the back of the beach.

Entrance Fee: Free (Patar Beach is a public beach so there is no entrance fee)

Cottage Fee: Php 300 - 1,000

Camping Fee: Php 100 - 200 (Exclusive of tent)

• Car - Php 20
• Van - Php 20
• Jeep - Php 20
• Truck - Php 30
• Bus - Php 50

Tips and Reminders

• The rate of the cottages depends on the owner of it, it ranges from 300-1000/ day. You can also negotiate if you are only less than 5 pax and if you are staying for half-day only.
• Public bathrooms are available with maintenance fees. Some cottage owners provide public bathroom for thier guest and it is free of use if you already got a cottage.
• Tent pitching is allowed. You may bring your own tent, but people usually rent cottages or bring their own mats.
• The dry months (December to May) are the best times to visit Patar Beach.

Resorts Near Patar Beach

Most of the resorts including the upscale Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort & Hotel Club are located along the coast north of Patar Beach.

The only resort right on Patar Beach is Treasures of Bolinao. Another gorgeous resort located on the left side of Patar Beach is Hotel G Beach Resort. They offer private villas, couple rooms, and dormitories for tourist overnight accommodation.

But if you prefer uncrowded accommodation, you may check other beachfront resorts in Bolinao.

HOW TO GET TO PATAR WHITE BEACH

From Bolinao town center, it takes 30 – 40 minutes to reach Patar White Beach.

Tricycle Tour

For those who chose to rent a tricycle, they can tour you around the tourist spots in Patar. Or you may avail Klook's Bolinao Day Tour for hassle-free travel experience.

For those who are bringing own vehicle, you can use Waze or Google Maps for directions. If you don’t have a private vehicle, you can rent a car or van here. There are plenty parking spaces inside the resort.
