The city of Taguig conducted inspection to malls before they open during the new MECQ.

To ensure the safety of Taguigeños as the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) commences, the local government of Taguig had its rounds of inspection on May 17, Sunday.

The inspection of malls checked on the health and safety precautions in place of these business establishments once they open in phases.

The malls that were visited for inspection are the following:

- SM Aura
- Market Market
- Ayala Malls (including Serendra, High Street, and High Street Central)
- Uptown Mall
- Venice Grand Mall
- Vista Mall

The local government of Taguig would like to acknowledge these establishments for working together with the city towards transitioning carefully, cautiously, and safely towards the new normal by implementing the health and social distancing protocols set by the government.

Taguig recorded 337 COVID-19 cases as of May 15th. This includes 1,444 SUSPECTED COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths at 66 recoveries in total.

The LGU continue to work in containing the coronavirus and helping its constituents survive during the quarantine.


This will greatly ensure that Taguig remains a safe city even during the MECQ.
