Mayor Lino Cayetano has signed the city’s supplemental budget worth P2 billion to help aid in their fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).


“Tayo ay nagpasa ng mahigit 2 bilyon na supplemental budget. Ang layunin po nito ay para lahat ng pamilyang TaguigeƱo ay makatanggap ng ayuda ngayon ng krisis.” Cayetano said in an address on social media.

Cayetano said that P1 billion will be allocated for the city’s own amelioration program which will aid Taguig families who are not part of the national government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

Cayetano said that the city has around 270,000 families according to their data, of which, around 102,000 families, including beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), were included in the national government’s SAP.

The mayor assured that remaining families, no matter what their standing in the society, will receive P4,000 each.

Cayetano said that the remaining P1 billion will allocated for the frontliners, medicines, food packs, and other aid to city residents.
