The new station, located at the Mall Driveway near the Tokyo Tokyo food truck, marks a significant milestone for sustainable transportation in the city, as it features the launch of UBE Express' first Pure Electric Vehicle (EV) Bus operating on the NAIA route.



The move is part of a joint commitment to environmental sustainability, with Robinsons Malls championing the initiative. "At Robinsons Malls, we believe in creating a future where getting around is easier, cleaner, and kinder to the planet," a representative stated. "By supporting sustainable mobility, we hope to bring communities closer and make everyday journeys more meaningful."


The pure electric bus service offers a direct link for residents and travelers from Imus to all NAIA terminals, promising a quieter and zero-emission ride.




Free Rides to Celebrate Launch


To celebrate the launch of the new station and the pioneering EV bus, UBE Express is offering FREE RIDES to the public today. This gives commuters a chance to experience the premium electric vehicle service firsthand.



Following the launch promotion, the UBE Express service will operate daily from 5:45 AM to 9:20 PM, with a fixed fare of only ₱200 per ride. The new route is expected to provide a reliable, comfortable, and environmentally friendly alternative to private cars and traditional public transport for airport access.




The opening of the new station at Robinsons Imus is seen as a crucial step in expanding eco-friendly public transport options in the greater Metro Manila area and its surrounding provinces.



UBE Express Launches First Pure EV Bus to NAIA from Robinsons Imus


The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has introduced a new, reduced overnight parking rate for verified passengers and other legitimate airport users, effective Friday, August 1.



The move, announced by the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) in a Facebook post, aims to make parking more accessible and to ensure that parking facilities are efficiently managed and available for those who genuinely use the airport.

Under the new system, verified passengers who park their vehicles at any of the NAIA terminals (Terminal 1, 2, or 3) will be able to avail of a 50% discount on the standard overnight rate.



To qualify for the reduced rate, passengers must keep their parking ticket and boarding pass from their trip. Upon their return, they need to present both documents at the validation counter. Once verified, they will be charged a discounted rate of ₱600 for overnight parking.



While this new rate is still higher than the original ₱300 overnight rate, it is a significant reduction from the ₱1,200 rate that the NNIC implemented last October.



The NNIC stated that the new system will help to keep parking slots available and convenient for NAIA's intended users.

Free Ride: NAIA Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus

The good news is, you don't always need to hail a taxi or book a Grab. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), now under the management of the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) since September 2024, provides a free shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


These buses are air-conditioned and have plenty of space for your luggage, ensuring a comfortable ride between any of the terminals – whether you're hopping from T1 to T3, T4 to T2, or any other combination.

While this shuttle service used to run about once an hour, NNIC has been working to improve passenger mobility. You might find the buses are now more frequent than before, with aims to cut down those waiting times. Still, it's always smart to allot ample time for transfers – sometimes you just miss a bus!




How to Hop On

It’s pretty straightforward! Just show your ticket or boarding pass to the driver. The only catch is your onward flight needs to be within the next 24 hours.


Where to Catch Your Shuttle

Knowing where to wait is half the battle. Here's where you'll find the free shuttle bus at each terminal's arrival curbside:

  • Terminal 1: Keep an eye out for a huge sign that says "AIRPORT SHUTTLE / TRANSFER SERVICE" at the arrival curbside. You can't miss it!

  • Terminal 2: Head to the arrival curbside, right next to pick-up bay 19.

  • Terminal 3: This one takes a little walk. After you exit the baggage claim area, turn left and stroll towards the very end of the terminal. Once you reach the far end, turn left again. You should then spot the sign for the "Terminal Transfer Bus" or "For passengers with connecting flights to Terminal 1, 2, and 4."

Need to Dash? Your Paid Alternatives

  • NAIA Terminal 3: Grab pickups are centralized at the Multi-Level Parking (MLP) Level A. Just follow the signs and coordinate with your driver via the app.

  • NAIA Terminal 1 & 2: The app will guide you to specific, designated bays for Grab pickups.

The good news is, a newly constructed expressway connects most of the NAIA terminals, meaning travel time between them via car or Grab is much shorter than it used to be.

Here's Where and How to Avail NAIA Free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus


Starting October 1, 2024, parking at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will become significantly more expensive.



In a recent announcement by NAIA’s Leasing and Commercial Affairs Department, overnight parking fees for cars will jump from P300 to P1,200—a fourfold increase. The new rates will also affect motorcycles and buses, with overnight parking set at P480 for motorcycles and P2,400 for buses.

New Parking Rates at NAIA

All four terminals of NAIA have parking. Terminals 1, 2, and 4 have open ones, while Terminal 3 has multi-level covered parking. Here are the new parking rates starting October 1, 2024:



Cars
  • First two hours – P50
  • Succeeding hour – P25 per hour
  • Overnight – P1,200

Motorcycles
  • First two hours – P20
  • Succeeding hour – P10 per hour
  • Overnight – P480

Buses
  • First two hours – P100
  • Succeeding hour – P50 per hour
  • Overnight – P2,400

New NAIA Parking Fee Rates

A 10-minute grace period will be allowed. If you exceed 24-hour increments, additional hourly rates will apply. For lost tickets, a P500 fee will be charged on top of the parking cost.

Prior to this change, overnight parking used to only cost P300 as of 2022.


Why the Steep Price Hike?

According to the memo, the drastic adjustments are necessary “to ensure continued maintenance and improvements” at the airport's parking facilities. However, details on what specific improvements are planned remain unclear. Passengers and airport workers alike are hopeful that the higher fees will translate to tangible upgrades beyond cosmetic changes like fresh paint or new signage.

During a briefing on Monday, September 9, NNIC General Manager Angelito Alvarez detailed the changes, which will impact Philippine Airlines (PAL), Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia.

Terminal 2 will handle domestic flights for both PAL and Cebu Pacific.

Terminal 3 will be dedicated to all international flights.

Terminal 4 will serve AirAsia.



While the changes are expected to alleviate airport congestion, Alvarez emphasized that no specific date has been set for their implementation. The new terminal assignments will take effect only when all necessary preparations are complete.

It's advisable to contact the hotel directly in the weeks leading up to your arrival to arrange your airport transfer.

Getting to and from NAIA Terminal 3

For passengers arriving at or departing from NAIA Terminal 3, various transportation options are available:


Private Vehicles

From North Metro Manila: Take EDSA towards Pasay City, pass the Magallanes interchange, and turn left into the Tramo flyover. Follow the road until reaching the terminal entrance.

From South Metro Manila: Utilize the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) or Skyway towards Manila, and take the Villamor exit ramp. Continue past Terminal 3 and Resorts World complex, then proceed to the terminal entrance.

From West Manila: Access MIA Road at the junction of Coastal Road and Roxas Boulevard, turn left at the intersection with Park-N-Fly, and proceed to the terminal entrance after passing the rotunda.


Public Transportation

Metro-Rail Transit: Disembark at EDSA-Taft station and head to the airport shuttle terminal located beside the MRT station.

City Bus Routes: Take buses plying the EDSA-MIA route, passing Terminals 1 and 2, or opt for a jeepney route directly to Terminal 3. Airport shuttle services are also available to facilitate movement between terminals.


UBE Express P2P Bus Service

UBE Express offers a premium point-to-point airport bus transport with daily trips to and from NAIA. This convenient service covers various key locations, including PITX, Victory Liner Pasay, One Ayala Makati (temporarily suspended), Robinsons Place Manila, Araneta City Cubao, Robinsons Galleria, Ayala South Park, and Robinsons Sta. Rosa.

The sole pick-up location for UBE Express P2P buses at NAIA is Terminal 3, situated across Bay 12. Passengers arriving at NAIA 1, 2, or 4 can utilize UBE's NAIA Loop bus service, which operates throughout the four terminals, facilitating passenger pick-up and drop-off from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. The fare for this service is P50.

It's important to note that the NAIA Loop service does not operate on a fixed schedule. Thus, if you're pressed for time, consider alternative transportation options to reach Terminal 3 or your desired airport terminal promptly.

Payment at the designated UBE Express booth is primarily in cash. However, you can also conveniently purchase your P2P premium airport ticket from Klook!




NAIA 3 Departure Hall Protocols

The departure hall in NAIA Terminal is located on the second floor. Here's a step-by-step guide on what to do when flying out from this terminal.

1. Security Check: Before entering the facility, prepare your passport and ticket. An officer will inspect these documents before you proceed to the x-ray machine.  Make use of the porter services if you are carrying heavy or several bags.

2. Travel Tax Payment: Proceed to the TIEZA counters just beside the check-in desks. This is where you pay travel tax amounting to PHP 1,620. You will have to show your passport and ticket to the officer. Keep the receipt as you will need this later on. Take note that only passengers taking international flights have to complete this step.

3. Check-In: Present your passport, ticket, and travel tax receipts. This is where you should drop your check-in luggage. Usually, passengers have to check in at least an hour before their flight. International passengers may want to come earlier just to be safe.

Once done, the officer will give you your boarding pass containing the boarding time. Take note of the gate number assigned to you.

4. Immigration: Before proceeding to the immigration counters, fill out a departure form. 

Head towards the Bureau of Immigration window with your passport, boarding pass, and departure card.

Expect the officer to ask you questions related to your travel. This is why it's also important to bring important travel documents with you. The office will stamp your passport once done.

5. Security Check... Again: A final security check is required before you proceed to the boarding gate. Your hand-carry will be going through an x-ray and metal detector again.

6. Boarding: Be attentive once you're at the boarding gate. You will hear announcements regarding boardings as well as change of gates and boarding times. After your flight number is called, line up and prepare your boarding pass and passport.




NAIA 3 Arrival Hall Protocols

The arrival hall is in the ground floor of NAIA Terminal 3. Take note that there are no tubes used at the terminal on deplaning for domestic travel. 

Passengers should board shuttle buses to and from the boarding gates instead.

1. Immigration: After deplaning, head towards the immigration counters and line up. Present your passport and customs form and have the former stamped.

2. Baggage Carousel: Head towards the ground floor to get your checked-in bags from the baggage carousel. The conveyor belts have labels showing your flight number.

3. Customs: Go to the customs counter after collecting your luggage. This is where you should submit your customs form. If you have nothing to declare, your bag doesn't have to undergo inspection.

4. Exit: Head over to the passenger waiting area, where your fetcher, family, or friends are waiting. You may also request porter services to help you with your things.

Free Wifi Access: As of November 2023, passengers at Terminal 3 can enjoy complimentary public Wi-Fi provided by Pure Fiber. With 2 hours of free access per day, staying connected while waiting for your flight has never been easier. Look out for banners around the terminal for instructions on connecting to this service.

Cell Phone & Laptop Charging Stations: While there are no dedicated Laptop Charging Stations in Terminal 3, passengers will find convenient cell phone charging stations in the departure area (airside). These stations accept type B and type G power plugs, as well as USB outlets, ensuring that your devices stay powered up throughout your journey.

Baggage Assistance: Porter services are available at both the departure and arrival levels of Terminal 3 to assist passengers with their luggage. For a nominal fee of PHP 50 per piece, passengers can avail themselves of this convenient service, payable at the Porter Assistance Counter.

Currency Exchange & Banking Services: Philippine Banks are conveniently located in both the departure and arrival areas of Terminal 3, offering currency exchange and a range of banking services. Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are also available within the departure and arrival levels, providing easy access to cash for travelers.

Shops and Restaurants: Terminal 3 boasts a diverse array of dining options, including cafes and a newly opened food hall on the 4th level. Duty-free and souvenir shops are scattered throughout the departures area, offering passengers the opportunity to shop for last-minute gifts or indulge in some retail therapy before boarding their flights.

Terminal 3 has opened Travel Free Shop where you can buy your pasalubong, gifts, spirits and candy at the international arrives area. 


Water Refilling Stations: Free water refilling stations are located through the terminal. 

Shoe Shining: Looking for the perfect shoeshine while waiting for your flight at Terminal 3 Manila airport? Now you can. Located on the 3rd Level, South Wing, International departures level. You will find them between gates 112 and 112. Opening hours are 6am to 8pm daily. 

Infant & Children Facilities: Kiddie Traveler’s Lounge: Dedicated children’s play area to keep your little ones entertained whilst waiting for your flight. Facilities include playhouse, books, creativity tables and cartoons on TV. Suitable for children aged 1 – 13 years old. 
Locations: Kiddie Travelers Lounges can be found at both the domestic and international pre-departure level. 

Parents Room: Facilities include baby change facilities, nursing stations, sleeping rooms for babies, infant formula, bottles and disposable diapers. Location: Domestic departure area near Gate 119. International departure area near Gate 108. 

Health and Medical Facilities: Medical clinic can be found on the South Wing near the International Arrivals area. 

Mail Service: No post offices are located at Terminal 3.

Prayer Rooms: Catholic Prayer Room is located at the Mezzanine Level of the North Head House. The Muslim Prayer Room is located on the northern side of the departure area.
