The EDSA Carousel Bagong Barrio Bus Station, located along EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue) in Caloocan City, is part of the EDSA Carousel Busway system, a modern bus rapid transit (BRT) system implemented to improve the efficiency and reliability of public transportation along one of Metro Manila's busiest thoroughfares.



What is EDSA Carousel

The EDSA Carousel, country's first bus rapid transit (BRT) line, is part of the 35 bus routes in Metro Manila. The route began its operation in 2020 and is managed by the MMDA. This route, which only uses low-floor buses, run the whole length of EDSA down from the Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan into SM Mall of Asia in Pasay, and into Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX)

EDSA Carousel Bus Fare

The minimum fare for riding the EDSA Carousel is ₱15 for the initial 4 kilometers, while the maximum fare from PITX to Monumento amounts to ₱75.50. Commencing from PITX, the bus route traverses Macapagal Blvd towards EDSA Heritage Hotel, with a fare of ₱15.

Subsequently, it proceeds to MRT Taft (₱15), Ayala (₱17), Buendia (₱25.50), Guadalupe (₱27.75), Ortigas (₱33), Santolan (₱39.25), Cubao Main Avenue (₱46), GMA Kamuning Nepa Q Mart (₱52.25), Quezon Ave (₱56.50), North Ave Trinoma / SM North (₱60), Muñoz (₱64.50), Kaingin (₱66.75), Balintawak (₱68.75), Bagong Barrio (₱70.50), and finally MCU (₱75.50).

Payment for bus fare can be made either in cash or through the BEEP card system. Upon boarding the bus, passengers are required to tap their BEEP cards, and upon disembarking, they must tap again to automatically deduct the fare. Failure to tap upon exit will result in being charged the full fare upon the next entry.

It is important to note that there are no EDSA Carousel bus stops at Magallanes, Boni Ave, and Shaw Blvd. Passengers bound for these locations are advised to utilize the MRT instead for their convenience.
