Cavite-Metro Manila ferry routes to open 1st week of December

To help ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), through the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), is set to operationalize the ferry boat routes between Cavite and Metro Manila.

The operationalization of these routes includes the following phases:

1) Phase 1 - Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall)/ Sangley Port to SM MOA Ferry Terminal
2) Phase 1 - Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall)/ Sangley Port to CCP Port
3) Phase 2 - Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall)/ Sangley Port to Escolta, Manila
4) Phase 2 - Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall)/ Sangley Port to Lawton Ferry Terminal

The dry run for Phase 1 of the Cavite to Metro Manila routes is expected in the first week of December 2019.

Shipping companies such as Shogun Ships Co., Incorporated, Starlite Ferries, Incorporated, Seaborne Shipping Lines Incorporated, and Pinoy Catamaran Corporation also showed their interest in participating in the operationalization of these routes.
