Comfort food that feels like a warm blanket on a rainy day.

First thing that comes to your mind when the weather is cold to have a nice hot meal. Not always soup or noodles, but comfort food.

So last Sunday, we escaped the chilly weather while dining at Flambe'. It was a chill night with slight ambon lang, and since malapit lang samin, hindi sya hassle puntahan.

It is located inside the Malinao Food Park in Pasig. Walking distance lang sya from Pasig City hall. Very accessible and they have lots of parking spaces.

OUR VERDICT!

We first tried their salad, made of romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, bacon, croutons and toasted sesame dressing. Very filling sya at flavorful. Kahit di ako mahilig sa salad, I really enjoyed this. Hindi sya nakakaumay at di kulang sa lasa.

I liked the unique flavor of toasted sesame dressing, malasa sya at nakakabusog dahil sa bacon bits at croutons. The hint of cheese also made this dish more exciting. Sa unang tikim pa lang, I already decided that this will be my favorite dish for the night.

My rating: 4.5/5
Pros: bacon!!! And the toasted sesame dressing.

We also tried their baby back ribs. Masarap ung sauce ng ribs, not too sweet at bagay sa fried rice. It was well plated din kaya masarap picturan (at kainin of course). I really liked the fried rice, kasi sakto ung timpla at hindi greasy.

Not your mumurahing bigas ang ginamit. The meat was cooked and seasoned beautifully. They don't use msg so it's okay to indulge with the flavor without the guilt.

Ratings: 3.5/5
Pros: sauce and the fried rice
Cons: "not fall of the bones" soft

We also tried their sisig carbonara. It was really tasty and I love the amount of spice they used. I really like black pepper kaya I didn't mind the extra heat. You can really taste the sisig pero hindi sya nakakaumay.

Also, it is just 99 pero marami na sya and is served with a slice of garlic bread. I also enjoyed this meal. My friends and I shared every dish but I think I ate most of the sisig. Sorry, not sorry.

Ratings: 5/5
Pros: sisig is perfectly cooked with the pasta

Medyo busog na ko kaya tikim tikim na lang ung ginawa ko sa burger. First to note is the cheese. Hindi sya nakakaumay na blend of melted cheese and goes well with the pepperoni and marinara sauce. Hindi rin nya naoverpower yung flavor ng beef.

The bun complements all the filling, hindi sya naging soggy and held the patty well. The patty is made of pure beef and is a quarter pounder. I would've loved their basic burger, I'm a blt cheeseburger fan but my friends enjoyed this peperroni burger more than I did.

I think bagay to sa mga may gusto ng extra flavor sa burger nila. And just look at that melting cheese. Haaaay.

Ratings: 4/5
Pros: Cheese and pure beef patty
Cons: nothing really, just personal preference

Milkshakes on a cold night? Why not? Unlike other food parks na open area, flambe is in a closed, air conditioned store. Kaya you feel the cold, but you're still protected from rain. And nasa Pilipinas tayo, it's never TOO cold. Their milkshakes do bring rhe boys in the yard kasi they use home made ice cream. Kaya no worries sa brain freeze.

I tried the matcha flavor milkshake. They serve it with roasted marshmallows. Nagpicture pa kasi kami kaya hindi na super gooey nung kinain ko. Siguro if I had mixed it with the shake nung mainit pa sya (yung parang mashmallow fluff) siguro mas masarap. But I still liked it nonetheless.

Order this for dessert. Mas maappreciate mo ung savory foods kung yun muna titikman mo. Then pampababa tong milkshake while you catch up with friends.

Ratings: 4.5/5
Pros: ice cream and roasted marshmallow

All in all, it was a very filling and flavorful meal that made me want to try their other selections as well (I'm eyeing you, chicken wings). Ok din pang get together ng barkada and family as the prices here won't break the bank.

PS. They are having a sale on Saturday, August 5 for their 1st year anniversary. All food items are at 111 only. This is both for dine in and take out. May pang date ka na, may pampasalubong ka pa :)
