MAUBAN: Where to stay in Cagbalete?

If you are planning to go for a trip or quick vacation, you might wanted to go to Cagbalete Island. This Island is seluded, a perfect place to relax. Separated from mainland, the island is one and a half hour travel by boat from Mauban port. But where to stay in Cagbalete Island?

MVT Sto. Nino is one of the resorts you'll find in Cagbalete Island. It's located at southeastern part of the island and very accessible to visitors.

HOW TO GET TO CAGBALETE ISLAND

From Mauban Seaport
There are scheduled boat trips on a daily basis with an hour intervals from the port. Ticket price is P150 per head (one-way) on a shared boat. Or you can book a whole boat with capacity of 10 persons for P1500.

TIP: it's always smart to make a deal with the boatmen. But consider that they do it for living, be nice enough and support our local tourism. :)

Here's a short clip of our travel here from Lucban's Pahiyas Festival:

Resort’s electricity relied on diesel-powered generators though its activated when the sun is down since its quite dark at night. Makeshift street lamps guide guests from the beach to back to their respective rooms and huts.

The quiet atmosphere adds serenity and soul to the place, but the poly-toned videoke machine doesn’t really suit the nice ambiance.
