Us during our visit to Armando's Garden Resort

Last September, me, my family and friends (Team Sang-ayon) had a relaxing weekday to refresh ourselves from our jobs. We had a 22-hour stay at Armando's Garden Resort and had to taste delectable food.

ABOUT ARMANDO'S GARDEN RESORT

Armando’s Garden Resort is the premiere resort that gives out a heart-warming, family friendly, and exclusive events and services in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija.

It unveils the rich narrative and culture of the proprietor showing simplicity through its cuisines and architecture. It prides itself as the main getaway to every locals and tourists.

Armando’s Garden Resort features a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden.

Armando's Garden Resort Public Pool

The resort provides an indoor pool, hot tub and room service. All guest rooms in the resort are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Guest rooms include a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen.

OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Parking area near accommodation

We arrived at noon time on the first day of our stay at the resort. Jampacked on our travel, we had to fill our bellies to recharge for the other half of the day. So we had lunch at Armando's Restaurant - an in-house resto-bar in Armando's Garden Resort.

ARMANDO'S RESTAURANT

Armando's Restaurant

We're happy to try their own version of Boodle Fight - a feast where food is usually served on banana leaves and eaten without utensils.

We had Boodle Set C which includes servings of tempura, Dinakdakan, mixed seafood, Kalderetang Kambing, Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa, Tinolang Manok, salted eggs, plain rice and bagoong rice. Plus buko pandan and a pitcher of red iced tea. SEE MENU

Armando's bar and restaurant mainly offers local artisan food and commercial beverages such as beers and alcoholic drinks.

After having a satisfying meal, we took our siesta in the afternoon. Of course, who will miss merienda? We also tried their special halo-halo and some of their brick oven pizza - the first in Nueva Ecija!

Their halo-halo was a cool treat to us - perfect snack in the balmy afternoon. While their pizzas woke us up with cheesy and meaty toppings. They also use natural and organic ingredients mainly from the province. SEE MENU

For dinner, we had 2 of their appetizers - Sizzling Pork Sisig and Sizzling Chicken Sisig. To top it off, we also savor with their very own Armando's Chicken and Special Bulalo. Both were so soft, almost fall-off-the-bones.

The chicken was so tasty, a perfect match with their warm rice. The bulalo on the other hand has a flavorful soup and tender beef plus the buttery (sinusutsot) "utak". SEE MENU

The following day, we had their classic "silog" meals for our breakfast, came with hot brewed coffee, a great way to start the day.

MERIENDA BUFFET

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Armando's offers all-you-can-eat merienda.

EVENT'S PLACE

This spacious area located at the heart of the resort covers variety of events. The 350-sqm event area can hold more or less 300 guests - perfect for Christenings, birthdays, reunions, team buildings and weddings. The good food served by their in-house restaurant is a plus for any kinds of events. They also offer event styling and coordination.

SWIMMING POOL AND COTTAGE

Their main pool, which is 300-sqm wide, ranges from 2 to 5.5 feet deep. While their kiddie pool has 2 feet deep. They also feature a 2 ft. deep jacuzzi at the same area. Both are located in their public pool area.

Armando's Garden Resort Swimming Pool

For cottages, they have more or less 20 cottages for rent. All are perfect for family or barkada or any group activities.

Cheapest Flights and Airline Tickets Online Booking

In our case, we stayed at 2 of their cabanas (see rates below). Both have king-sized beds, aircondition, TVs, restrooms, complimentary water, towels. The rooms are perfect for couples or a small family.

Our accommodation at Armando's Garden Resort

Their pools feature fountains and colorful neon lights at night. Surprisingly, the water in the pool was warm. It's very warm that you would like to stay soaked than getting out of the pool.

Armando's Garden Resort Pool at night

Of course, since we are still in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, physical distancing and safety protocols are observed during our stay.

Armando's Garden Villa

Overall, our gang were so happy to got to experience a stay here at Armando's Garden Resort. Aside from having great amenities and lots of activities can be done inside the resort, their staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. So if you are looking for a quality time to spend with your family and friends, Armando's Garden Resort should be on top of your list.

HOW TO GET TO ARMANDO'S GARDEN RESORT

Going to Armando's Garden Resort is never a hassle. However, it's advisable that you bring your own vehicle going to the resort for more convenient travel.

Thinking of Nueva Ecija, all I know is Gapan and Pantabangan (reminds me of my Baler trips). So I thought, it would be a long ride from Metro Manila. However, it's not the case for Armando's Garden Resort.

If you are coming from any point in Metro Manila, the best way to start off your travel is to take NLEX then head off SCTEX until you reach TPLEX. Travel time is more or less than an hour (depending on your stopover). Toll fee is about Php 360.00.

TPLEX Anao Exit

From TPLEX's tollgate, for less than an hour, you take Anao Exit to get to the Municipality of Cuyapo. Brgy. Malineng, where the resort is located in, is 30 minutes away from TPLEX Anao Exit.

Please use Waze (not Google Maps) for more accurate directions. If you don’t have a private vehicle, you can rent a car or van here.

You can book a bus trip or rent a car via 12go.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Traveling from NCR to Nueva Ecija is allowed depending to your reason of visit. You also have to bring your vaccination card, valid IDs and quarantine pass (if you have one). PNP/AFP might stop and check your vehicle upon entry or exit of Nueva Ecija.

PARKING
Bringing your own vehicle is no problem! Armando's Garden Resort has a wide and spacious parking area.

Again, big thanks to the owner and staff of Armando's Garden Resort for the pleasant accommodation and generous feast of Filipino delicacies at your resto. We will definitely visit again. 🙂

In this guide, I list BDO branches that are open on Saturdays. I am happy that there's a BDO branch near me where I can do bank transactions, deposit and withdraw my money.

Undeniably, a lot of people are struggling when it comes to make their banking transactions. One of the reasons is their busy schedule. They find it hard to catch up with the office hours of banks.

Usually, banks open between 8:00 to 9:00 am and closes between 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The thing is that most employees also finish their duties at 5:00 pm thus banks are already closed by the time they will arrive to a certain branch.

Fortunately, some banks now offer Saturday banking services through some of their branches. One of these banks is the BDO Unibank or also known as Banco de Oro.
