Doña Remedios Trinidad, or simply “DRT” as it is fondly called. The place sometimes tagged as “Bulacan’s last Frontier”, occupying one-third of the land area of the province, and home to diverse flora and fauna.

The majestic landscape of hills, valleys and mountains. The cool, and clean waters of rivers and streams. The clean air in the meadows and farmlands. The gliding birds freely floating in the breeze, sleuthing at their preys at bushes and trees underneath.
8. Don Salvador Benedicto
Don Salvador Benedicto is dubbed Negros Occidental’s “Little Baguio” because its cool atmosphere is 2,500 feet above sea level on Negros Island. This growing tourist attraction features a rice terrace and the “Cigarette” Falls called Malatan-og. Road adventures along Magnetic Hills are also gaining popularity in the area.

With pine-scented air and gorgeous mountain views, Don Salvador Benedicto is a great alternative to Baguio, especially when you want to avoid large crowds.

9. Lantapan
There are many places in Bukidnon that experience cooler weather than the rest of the Philippines, but the coldest among them is Lantapan. Located 4,000 above sea level, the weather here is so cold that there are times that dew lingers until noon.

Lantapan is also the gateway to the second tallest peak in the Philippines following Mount Apo. Mount Dulang Dulang can be accessed through Brgy. Songco in Lantapan which is why this location sees a lot of mountaineers on their way to an exciting journey.
10. Lake Sebu
The southern region of the Philippines has its own Summer Capital and that is Lake Sebu. Located in South Cotabato, there’s really more to this place than just postcard-worthy lakes and cooling winds.

Lake Sebu has resorts where travelers can lounge and enjoy the wonderful weather and scenery. The seven waterfalls of Lake Sebu are the locale’s most popular attractions. One can either hike up to view the falls or take a zipline to enjoy a bird’s eye view.

What started out as a vacation house in Batangas grew into a resort-type of accommodation when the owners added rooms and decided to rent out the rooms to the early guests.
