Here's the list of stores and branches of McDonald's NXTGEN all over the Philippines (as of September 2020).

In this guide, I list McDonald's NXTGEN branches in the country. I am happy that there's a few McDonald's NXTGEN branches near me where I can have my favorite McDonald's fries and Big Mac.


ABOUT MCDONALD'S NXTGEN

In 2018, McDonald’s Philippines introduced NXTGEN — a new store format equipped with a multi-point service system that enables a fast, convenient, and seamless experience. Filipinos can now enjoy the best of the McDonald’s experience from around the world.

The first McDonald’s NXTGEN flagship opened in McKinley West, Taguig City, last October 5, 2018, boasting an iconic façade of the famed golden arches which pays tribute to the very first McDonald’s store in Des Plaines Illinois.

Inside, the flagship store offers customers a modern industrial design, a McCafé, and the new service platform featuring innovations that have been previously rolled out internationally: self-ordering kiosks that allow cashless payments, split counters for ordering and claiming, and Guest Experience Leaders -- highly trained crew members specifically tasked to entertain the needs of the customers and acquaint them with the NXTGEN experience.

This fastfood restaurant became a tourist spot in Tagaytay.

Who doesn't love McDonald's? It's fries and chicken (best-tasting for me compare to others, sorry :D), it's sundae, Coke float, McCafe, name it! McDonald's is there and in Tagaytay they have at least 4 branches of it - one is found here along Tagaytay-Calamba Rd.

WHAT TO EXPECT


Since this is a NXTGEN branch, it is one of the most modern in style and operating system, all over the Philippines. The only unique thing about this branch in Tagaytay and its edge among others is the stunning view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake you can see from its veranda.

HOW TO GET TO MCDONALD'S NXTGEN TAGAYTAY

McDonald's NXTGEN Calamba is located near the 'rotunda' in Tagaytay City. PUBs and PUJs are passing this area. So if you take a public commuting from either bus or jeep (those coming from Emilio Aguinaldo Ave., Silang) bound to Tagaytay, just drop-off at Olivares. Then take a short walk going to McDonald's.

Alternately, once you get to any point in Tagaytay, you can take a tricycle ride to bring you to the place.

For those who are bringing their own vehicles, you can follow directions from Waze or Google Maps. Free parking is available.

Let's travel back in time as we walk around this Historical Core.

Located inside Camp John Hay, the historical core was established for the people to reminisce and see the role that Camp John Hay played in the history of Baguio City and the Philippines.

Several structures that were constructed during the time of the Americans in the Philippines still stands and remains to be a reminder of the friendship between the Philippines and the United States.


ABOUT CAMP JOHN HAY

A former military facility, Camp John Hay draws golfers to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at the Camp John Hay Golf Club, and the Baguio Country Club's greens and fairways. Pine trees line the Eco Trail, providing shade to joggers and hikers, while Tree Top Adventure caters to thrill-seekers with ziplining courses.

The Historical Core contains the Bell House Museum, a well-preserved American Colonial residence.

Bell Amphitheater

This structure was designed and named after General J. Franklin Bell. Today, the amphitheater is used as venue for weddings and other activities.


You can reserve the use of the amphitheater by getting in touch with the John Hay Historical Core office.


Bell House

Again named after General J. Franklin Bell this used to be the home of the Governor Generals of the Philippines.


This American designed home today is a museum where you can appreciate the interior of an American home still with some of the furniture that were used when it was first built. You can enjoy the view of the pine forest at the balcony of the Bell House.


Cemetery of Negativism

This is not a “real” cemetery, it was built for people to bury any negative thoughts they have, because of its serene location you can enjoy your alone time while dispelling any negative thoughts.


History Trail

The history trail is a walk through the history of Camp John Hay. Being an American base this place has a rich history that is worth knowing. Did you know that Camp John Hay was the site of surrender for General Yamashita and his army during the end of World War 2? You can learn more by walking through the history trail.



Liberty Loop

Upon entering the Historical Core, you will be welcomed by this site inside Camp John Hay wherein a replica of the Statue of Liberty, the endearing symbol of American Heritage, can be found.


Panagbenga Flower and Totem Pole

Two significant structures can also be found inside the historical core which symbolizes the culture and face of leadership in Baguio City. One is the big sun flower which represents the festivity in Baguio City, Panagbenga Festival (pronounce as panag-bunga) which is being held every February.


The other one is the totem pole, carved by Ernesto Dul-ang. The pole is a wood sculpture of human heads put on-top-of-the-other. These are the men who shaped the development of Baguio.


Secret Garden

You can access this place via the small “hidden” path beside the steps going to the Bell house. If you want to have your alone quiet time communing with nature this is the place to be.

There are a lot of things to do, see and learn at the Camp John Hay Historical core and it is truly a must place to visit when you are in Baguio City and if you are fond of history and quiet places that is.

There are two way to commute to Camp John Hay in Baguio City: jeepney and taxi

Via Jeepney: There's a jeepney terminal to PMA located in across Hotel Veniz. At the same jeepney terminal where your ride a jeepney to PMA, ask the barkers in the area on which jeepney travels to Camp John Hay. This bears a route of BAGUIO-PLAZA-SCOUT BARRIO v/v.

Via Taxi: there are plenty of taxi cab around Baguio City where you can rent going around and outside the city.

From Manila to Baguio, you can ride buses such as Joy Bus and Victory Liner.
