Sonya’s Garden Events Venue Guide

Rejuvenate and refresh yourself with these public parks in Taguig City.

Pasig once was called the "Green City", gained its reputation in having green spaces among its neighboring cities. In the recent years, with the continuous developments of the cities in Metro Manila, Taguig City is sharing its effort to give back to its people, Taguigenos, and to the environment.

I've been residing in Taguig majority of my lifetime, I must admit that concretes already overtaken the land of this humble city. While the progress is there, I am thankful that the people in position do not forget to leave us with these spaces we all can use for recreation and for us to breathe and appreciate the city.

Loading...

If you are looking for a place for a walk or to play with your kids, you must be lucky if you are in Taguig or living near the city. In this guide, I list 10 parks in Taguig that are publicly opened to everybody.

Burgos Park

First on our list is the famous Burgos Park which is part of Forbes Town, a township developed by Megaworld Corporation. The park is one of the most Instagrammable spots in BGC.

The Trees

Nestled in the center of Burgos Circle is the enchanting Burgos Park. The park is adorned with a unique sculpture by Reynato Paz Contreras, called The Trees. This 6.5-meter tall bronze-and-brass masterpiece commissioned by the Bonifacio Art Foundation serves as a symbol of life, stability, and nature preservation. Surrounded by a grove of trees, the artwork has become a romantic rendezvous point for couples, adding to the charm and appeal of the park.

Greenway Linear Park

Conveniently located residential developments in the city, BGC Greenway Linear Park is a perfect place for your daily routine like cycling and running.

Greenway Linear Park

The 1.6-kilometer park that lies next to Manila Golf and Country Club in Forbes, Makati is traversing from McKinley Parkway to Kalayaan Avenue Exit.

Location: McKinley Parkway to Kalayaan Avenue Exit, BGC, Taguig City
Park Hours: 6 AM–10 PM daily

Terra 28th Park

One of the two parks built and assigned by the Ayala Land in BGC is Terra 28th Park.

Terra 28th Park

Terra 28th has numerous activities and playgrounds perfect for all ages. The scenery reflects both progress and laid-back lifestyle of someone residing or touring around the business district.

Location: 28th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
Park Hours: 6 AM–10 PM daily

Track 30th

In the north part of Bonifacio High Street lies another urban park, the Track 30th.

Track 30th

The park is popular among dog owners and morning walkers. The park has a clean and fresh look because of its well-maintained grassy areas. It also has several trees that can provide natural shade for its visitors.

Location: 30th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
Park Hours: 6 AM–10 PM daily

De Jesus Oval Park

Also in BGC is the De Jesus Oval Park, which is known for picnics, morning workouts, recreational activities, or even just reading a good book under the shade.

De Jesus Oval Park

The park is near the other green spaces such as BGC Greenways Linear Park and Pacific Plaza Towers Park.

Kasalikasan

Located at De Jesus Oval, behind the Pacific Plaza Towers, the meditative mandala design of Kasakalisan Park, elevated circular stage lush with grass, and serene sandbox are elegantly connected by pebbled pathways, transform this retreat into a haven for nature lovers, art enthusiasts, and ideal for someone who wants to unwind during the middle of the day. Kasalikasan Garden provides a quiet atmosphere far from the busy streets of the city.

Kasalikasan

Created by artist Jerusalino V. Araos in 2001, the name of the garden acts as a word play of “Casa” which means house and “Kalikasan” that means nature. Kasalikasan Garden explores the idea that guests should find sanctuary in nature for it has been the home of humans since the beginning of time.

Location: De Jesus Oval, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
Park Hours: 5 AM–10 PM daily

TLC Park

Let's go outside BGC and check this outdoor area near Laguna LakeTLC Park, which is located in a 6-hectare area at the TLC Village, Lakeshore, Laguna Lake Highway in Brgy. Lower Bicutan.

TLC Park from Taguigeño

In November 2023, the LGU recreated the park as "Christmas by the Lake" in celebration for Christmas. Last February, they reopened the TLC Village for the Valentines Day with a theme, "Love at the Park". Today, there are parts of the park where you can do recreational activities like doing exercise and cardio.

Taguig Eco Park

Another non-BGC space recently developed by the LUG is the Taguig Eco Park. Officially opened this year, the 6,332-square-meter recreational park is an addition to the ‘Adopt-A-Park’ urban green space rehabilitation project of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Taguig Eco Park

The Adopt-A-Park project is a collaborative effort between MMDA and the local government units in Metro Manila to develop or beautify underutilized parks in the existing open spaces in cities towards lessening the environmental impacts caused by the growing urban decay.

The Baguio Botanical Garden is one of the green parks of the City of Pines "where nothing much happens" - and this is precisely what is so great about it.

About Baguio Botanical Garden

A huge piece of land that is owned by the Philippine government, Botanical Garden, like Burnham Park is one of those prime pieces of real estate that provides priceless peace and tranquility to a city that is in danger of becoming an urban jungle.

The Botanical Garden is located just 1 kilometer from Session Road, along beautiful Leonard Wood between Teachers Camp and Wright Park.

You will be welcomed by a bas relief sculpture made of cement and stone depicting the different rituals of the Cordillera tribes, with real live Igorots who will be more than willing to pose for photos for a small fee.

Filled with towering pine trees, the Botanical Garden serves the dual purpose of providing visitors and residents valuable breathing space and re-greening a fast developing city with greenhouses and nurseries designed to propagate the flora and fauna species that will eventually find their way to parks and gardens around the Summer Capital.

Baguio Botanical Garden is also a favorite venue for tribal gatherings and rituals, open-air concerts and other community activities. It is also my favorite quiet and peaceful place in the City of Pines.

REMINDERS

  • Botanical Garden is not wheelchair-friendly because of the stone paths and steps one must pass to get around; wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • It has public restrooms available.
  • It is pet-friendly.
  • Botanical Garden requires that you supervise the movement of little children closely as there are pools of water they may jump into if left unsupervised.
  • They do not allow the picking of flowers inside.
