Metro Manila’s burger scene is a battlefield of flavors, ranging from nostalgic fast-food giants to artisanal "smash" experts. Whether you’re looking for a quick drive-thru fix or a gourmet sit-down experience, this countdown covers the absolute best the metro has to offer.

Here's my list of the best burgers in Metro Manila, with a deep dive into what makes each spot a local favorite.

Loading...

10. Burger King

Burger King is a global fast-food giant that has maintained a strong presence in the Philippines by offering a distinct smoky flavor through its signature flame-grilling process.

While most fast-food chains deep-fry their patties, BK’s "Flame-Grilled" approach has been its primary selling point since it first arrived on Philippine shores, positioning it as the top choice for those who want a "backyard BBQ" taste with the convenience of a drive-thru.

What to try: The 4-Cheese Whopper or the X-Tra Long Chicken.

Price range: ₱100 – ₱450.

Location/Branches: Most major malls and fuel stations nationwide.

9. Brothers Burger

Established in 1999 by the Quimson brothers, this local brand is credited with pioneering the "gourmet burger" trend in the Philippines.

Before the explosion of artisanal burger joints, Brothers Burger was the first to offer high-quality, hand-pressed beef patties on signature oatmeal buns, moving the local palate away from the standard paper-thin fast-food patty.

What to try: The Big Brother Burger or the Blues Brothers Burger.

Price range: ₱250 – ₱550.

Location/Branches: High Street BGC, Westgate Alabang, and Trinoma.

8. Jollibee

The Champ is the heavyweight champion of the Philippines’ most beloved homegrown fast-food chain.

First introduced in the 1980s, the Champ was Jollibee's answer to the demand for a premium, large-format burger; its brief removal from the menu in 2020 caused such a public outcry that it was officially brought back as a permanent fixture, proving its status as a cultural icon.

What to try: Amazing Aloha Champ (with pineapple and bacon).

Price range: ₱175 – ₱250.

Location/Branches: Available in selected Jollibee branches nationwide.

7. Charlie’s Grind & Grill

Charlie’s Grind & Grill started as a "joke" among friends that evolved into a legendary hole-in-the-wall spot tucked inside a car wash in Kapitolyo, Pasig.

It gained fame for being one of the first casual spots in the city to serve high-end beef like Black Angus and Wagyu, proving that you don't need a white-tablecloth restaurant to enjoy a world-class burger.

What to try: Black Angus Burger and Black Truffle Fries.

Price range: ₱300 – ₱600.

Location/Branches: Kapitolyo (Pasig), Greenhills, and Makati.

Cheapest Flights and Airline Tickets Online Booking

6. 8cuts

Part of the Moment Group, 8cuts is a modern burger joint that turned patty-making into a science by utilizing eight different cuts of beef (hence the name) to create custom "blends."

It is known for its industrial-cool aesthetic and its commitment to "no-shortcuts" cooking, where every patty is freshly ground and hand-pressed daily.

What to try: The Piggy or the Four Cheese 2.0.

Price range: ₱280 – ₱500.

Location/Branches: SM Megamall, Power Plant Mall, and Salcedo Village.

5. Shake Shack

Hailing from a small hot dog cart in Madison Square Park, NYC, Shake Shack has grown into a global powerhouse known for its commitment to high-quality ingredients, including 100% all-natural Angus beef.

Since its Philippine debut in 2019, it has become a staple for those who enjoy a "fast-casual" experience with pillowy potato buns and their secret-recipe ShackSauce.

What to try: The ShackBurger and a Manila-exclusive Ube Shake.

Price range: ₱300 – ₱650.

Location/Branches: Central Square BGC, SM Megamall, and Greenbelt.

4. Sweet Ecstasy

What began as a small cookie and milkshake stall in Cubao Expo quickly transformed into what many critics call the best burger in Manila.

Sweet Ecstasy’s history is rooted in the "purist" philosophy—avoiding over-the-top toppings and focusing instead on a perfect beef-to-bun ratio, fresh produce, and a signature sauce that fans have dubbed "addictive."

What to try: The Steamburger or The Western.

Price range: ₱290 – ₱450.

Location/Branches: Jupiter St. (Makati), Katipunan, and Greenhills.

3. Butter Burger Manila

Butter Burger Manila is a rising star in the "smash burger" scene, drawing inspiration from the buttery, crispy-edged burgers famous in the American Midwest.

They are known for their decadent preparation where patties are basted in high-quality butter, resulting in a rich, caramelized crust that has made them a viral sensation among Metro Manila foodies.

What to try: The Classic Cheeseburger.

Price range: ₱150 – ₱300.

Location/Branches: Pasig

2. Army Navy

Army Navy is a unique Philippine-born concept that pairs a military-inspired theme with a "Burger + Burrito" menu.

Since opening its first store in Tagaytay in 2009, it has built a reputation for its "fearless" portions and thin, seasoned beef patties served on toasted sesame seed buns, all within a restaurant designed to look like a military Quonset hut.

What to try: The Bully Boy Burger (Triple Patty).

Price range: ₱250 – ₱400.

Location/Branches: BGC, Makati, and various locations along SLEX/NLEX.

1. Four Leg Restaurant

Four Leg Restaurant is a hidden gem that has ascended to the top of many local lists due to its exceptional value and artisanal quality.

Known for its al fresco setups and a menu that focuses on 100% real beef and flame-grilled techniques, it has built a cult following in the Quezon City and Pasig areas for delivering a gourmet, "chef-standard" burger at a price point that remains accessible to the average diner.

What to try: The Classic Burger or the Bacon Cheese Burger.

Price range: ₱300 – ₱500.

Location/Branches: Maginhawa (QC) and City Golf Plaza (Pasig).
