Classes have been cancelled in the following areas due to inclement weather caused by Tropical Depression Amang.



Governor Ramil Hernandez has announced the suspension of classes in all levels of public and private schools in the entire province of Laguna. This decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and staff during inclement weather.

Similarly, in the town of Lopez in Quezon province, classes are also suspended from pre-elementary to high school levels. This precautionary measure is taken to prevent any potential risks and hazards that may arise from the typhoon.

In the town of Montalban in Rizal province, there will be no classes from kindergarten to Grade 12, including the Alternative Learning System (ALS), in all public and private schools.

Meanwhile, in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, classes are also suspended from kindergarten to senior high school levels in all public and private schools.

In Naga, Camarines Sur, classes are suspended from preschool to graduate school levels in all educational institutions. Additionally, work is also suspended in all government offices in the city to prioritize the safety of the employees and the public.

Furthermore, the typhoon is expected to bring heavy rainfall to parts of the provinces of Quezon, Aurora, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan. Local residents are advised to stay vigilant, take necessary precautions, and heed the guidance of local authorities to ensure their safety during inclement weather.

DepEd Automatic Class Suspension Guidelines

Depending on signal numbers declared at 10:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. of the following day, classes in appropriate levels for the whole day are deemed automatically cancelled/suspended.

Afternoon classes in the appropriate levels in areas with signal numbers declared at 11:00 a.m. that day are likewise automatically cancelled/suspended.
