FLASH NEWS! SM Cinema Banned 'Outside Food'

Recently, this sign saying "NO OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS BEYOND THIS POINT" was visible at SM Cinemas nationwide.

A post by John Winkle Wong is now gaining attention after he called on netizens to boycott SM Cinemas for this policy and instead support Ayala Mall Cinemas and Gaisano Malls who give their patrons freedom to choose where they purchase their food.

It can be recalled that several months back, cinemagoers criticized the mall for imposing a ban on food not purchased from their Snack Bars.

Others were reportedly stopped from entering the cinema and asked to finish their outside food before entering because of the ruling.
