TAGUIG CITY COVID-19 CASE UPDATES

Of the 994 active cases, 506 or 50.9 percent of these cases came from areas placed in the localized quarantine and conducted aggressive testing. (112 of the 1,200 tinest in Purok 5 and 6 of Brgy. Lower Bicutan and 394 of about 700 workers at a construction site in BGC). These areas are currently contained.


Taguig recorded 40 new CONFIRMED CASES today. The new cases are from Bagumbayan (1), Lower Bicutan (1), Tuktukan (1), Ususan (3), Fort Bonifacio (13), North Daang Hari (9), Pinagsama (4), South Daang Hari ( 1), South Signal (2), Upper Bicutan (1), and Western Bicutan (4). The total number of confirmed cases in Taguig is 1,729.

The LGU has sorted and recorded 711 recoveries according to the new policies of the Department of Health. While there are 24 deaths which is 1.39% fatality.

Meanwhile, other recoveries will continue to monitor the number and expect updates in the coming days. In total, from January 27 to July 19, 2020, the city has conducted 20,070 PCR tests *, and has registered 1,729 confirmed cases, 24 deaths, and 711 recoveries in the city.

* The number of tests performed here is PCR Tests only. Rapid Tests conducted by the local government are no longer included because the results of Rapid Tests are still required by Confirmatory tests.

SMART testing or Systematic Mass Approach to Responsible Testing was launched in Taguig which includes barangay-based testing and drive-thru tresting to further expand the city's testing capacity.
