Here are some things you might consider bringing with you for your day tour / adventure:

Shopee is my go-to app for things I needed like the ones above. If you'd like discounts and vouchers, you may get the best offers here:

Here are some of the top tourist spots in LUZON:

1. Mount Mayon (BICOL)

Bicol is one of the top tourist destinations in the country. The region is known to be the home of the famous Mount Mayon, a volcano with a perfectly shaped cone.
Mount Mayon

Bicol is situated in the southern most part of the island of Luzon. This region has many things to offer to tourist such as natural attractions, fine dining and delicious cuisine and the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bicol.
Bicol has beautiful scenic and enchanted views that includes beautiful beaches, world-class diving sites, centuries-old churches and religious relics, famous landmarks and many historical places.

2. Bangui Windmills (ILOCOS NORTE)

The Bangui Wind Mills were built by the NorthWind Power Development Corporation to take its share in reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases (GHGs) causing global warming and to accelerate the rural electrification of the goverment.

In this area, wind mostly comes from the north-east, from the sea towards the land. To optimize the full benefit of the winds, turbines are installed along the shore facing the sea effectively removing wind breaks and achieving a terrain roughness of class 0.
Did you know? The 150 MW Burgos Wind Farm is the largest wind power project not only in the Philippines but in Southeast Asia.

3. Lion Head (BAGUIO)

This black lion is one of Baguio’s most popular landmarks that welcome you to the City of Pines and the summer capital of the Philippines. Go by private vehicle as public buses do not passed by the Kenon Road. You can stop by this popular tourist spot and have your pictures taken.
I say riskier because there had been many instances of landslides along the zigzag road especially when it is raining hard. To go to Baguio you can take alternate roads like Naguilan or Marcos Highway but you will not be seeing this welcoming lion if you do so.
Trivia: If you like taking risk and passing awesome views then taking the Kenon Zigzag Road to Baguio is right up your ally.

Welcome to the Faro de Punta Malabrigo!

MALABRIGO LIGHTHOUSE

Completed and lit in 1896, it is one of the oldest working lighthouses in the Philippines as well as the best preserved lighthouse in the country.

It serves as a guide for ships passing through the Verde Island Passage going to either Batangas Bay or Sibuyan Sea.

Malabrigo Point Lighthouse, also known as Faro de Punta Malabrigo, is a historic lighthouse located about 115 kilometres southeast of Manila in Barangay Malabrigo, Lobo, Batangas.

Loading...

The Malabrigo Point Lighthouse was among the lighthouses constructed by the Spanish colonial authorities in the Philippines from 1846 to 1896 as part of the Plan General de Alumbrado de Maritimo de las Costas del Archipelago de Filipino (Masterplan for the Lighting of the Maritime Coasts of the Philippine Archipelago), the goal of which was to install 55 lighthouses all over the archipelago, including its remotest corners.

At the time, Malabrigo Point was considered a dangerous area among seafarers because of its rocky coastline and strong currents especially during the monsoon season, hence, its name which comes from the Spanish words mal abrigo, meaning "bad shelter."

In 1891, Spanish engineer Guillermo Brockman, who also designed the lighthouses at Capul Island and San Bernardino Island, created a design for a lighthouse in Punta Malabrigo which consisted of a Victorian architecture-inspired cylindrical brick tower with a metal staircase and double balcony, lighthouse keeper's quarters, and machine room.

MALABRIGO BEACH

Instead of white fine sand that beach bums usually are looking for, the shores of Malabrigo is uniquely covered by small to medium sized white and gray stones or pebbles.

There are smooth and rough ones, but not too rough to hurt, so the beach is pretty much safe to walk on, and can even be therapeutic for the soles if the sun’s heat is tolerable enough to stay barefoot.

Cheapest Flights and Airline Tickets Online Booking

Malabrigo Beach is the southernmost point of Batangas, located in the quiet coastal municipality of Lobo. It may not be as popular like the other usual beach destinations in the province due it its farther accessibility, but this “unpopularity” makes this a perfect spot for those looking for a much peaceful getaway.

Since it is not as busy as the other beaches, it has remained pristine and clean, with its natural beauty and treasures protected until now. It also has one of the clearest waters you could probably discover in the region, its wonderful shades of blue and green calmly blending under the sun.

The municipality of Lobo, where the lighthouse is located, signed an agreement with the PCG to adopt the lighthouse in 2014 and began renovating and repainting the structure, and has since become the best preserved lighthouse in the country.

This is part of my visit in Lobo, Batangas and a night-stay at Punta Verde Resort in 2018.
