Rey-an Moreno posted on this photo of him last September 21, 2017 to show his protest not for the current government and not as a Duterte supporter. But he stood outside a PLDT office to express his sentiments about the poor internet service of the provider.

Declared as the National Day of Protest by no less than President Rodrigo Duterte himself, September 21 was definitely one of the busiest days for rallyists across the country.

In Manila alone, there were thousands of protesters from both sides, with two rallies done simultaneously on that day for those who were against and those who were supporters of the president.

National Day of Protest!

Let’s make baka, don’t be takot!
Make busina for hustisya!
Make internet bilis so di na kami inis!
Protesta laban sa mabagal na data

While he was alone in his protest outside the company’s office (although he joked in a separate post that there were a lot of rallyists there), many people supported him on social media! Within a few hours, his post went viral.

As of press time some 12 hours later, Moreno’s post has received close to 20,000 shares and over 36,000 reactions – with most netizens also expressing the same sentiment. Many were also angry with PLDT but others also tagged Globe Telecom, another telephone and internet service provider.
